My numpty question for tonight - (we're allowed 1 per night aren't we  :D )

If my spuds EVER flower - they seem to be growing slower than a slow thing in a slowery.  What can I follow them with - Id hate to see the patch sitting there doing nothing. According to my diary its early early June for the Anya and charlotte although Im very skeptical.

This would give me a patch 5ft x 10ft  its on a bit of a slope and anything too tall would shade the Pink Fir and Desiree.  I was thinking of putting leeks in but is there a standard follow on crop?

I think it'll be a bit later this year due to the cold weather we had earlier.

Also you usually just dig your first earlies when you want to eat them rather than digging the whole lot up at once.

So I'd imagine you'd be into July before the row was all dug up,so might be a bit late for your leeks, unless you do decide to dig 'em all up once they're ready.

You could sow some late peas or maybe put some early sprouting broccoli in or even some lettuce. :D

Last year I followed up with spring cabbage.
I used to work in a helium gas factory, but I walked out, no one talks to me like that.
