site for gooseberry/currant/raspberry

Had to put up a high fence to keep in the chooks and have completely re-arranged bits of the garden to cope with their free-ranging.
Thought I'd try some gooseberries/currants/more Polka raspberries (chickens don't damage them!) along the fence at the bottom. It's NW facing, pretty sheltered but only gets partial sun (midday and evening) because of trees. Soil will be good when I've pick-axed, manured, composted and thoroughly soaked!
Would this aspect be ok or should I re-think?

Oddly enough, the best raspberries I ever picked grew in a shady area. Wouldn't recommend it for highest yields, but all 3 plant types you mention will tolerate part shade. Just keep them watered as the tree roots will compete.
