Feet Feathers
« on: May 05, 2009, 13:08 »
:)Hi  Have just purchased some chickens from a feather and fur sale, they all seem great (just me being daft seeing them penned up for so long in cages that wasn't fun) Anyway, two of them were in cages way above our heads so did not see that they have loads of feathers down their legs and feet, ones a girl and ones a boy - Gerry and Margo!  Can you clip their feet feathers safely?  Its only because we have gravel and grass and am worried about feet - Any advice gratefully received.

I would not clip them. Do not worry unless your run gets very very muddy.
