My new family members are the Assorted Polish Bantam Chicks x 7 :)   After last weeks stress of getting rid of the terrorists neede some new birds to make up the numbers, these seemed just right :D

are all of them black with white crest? looks like  it. i got one a feew weeks ago. shes 2 weeks old.

No 2 have brown colouring the rest are black and white.

Do yours smell funny, I have a sour smell coming from them wondered if it was normal?

i just checked and no funny smell is coming  from them except the normal smell you get with chicks. :lol:  are the brown  ones gold polish?

I have no idea what they are bought them as "7 Assorted Polish Bantams as hatched"  I have never had them before so its new for me.  

I have read that you should keep them away from other chickens as they get their heads pecked.  
What do you keep?
Do you have mixed breeds together?

i have an amerucana, polish, white silkie, mille fluer. the polish head is all blooming, and i am slighly mad :x . ill post a picture tommorow. i think itll be alright though

Oh dear, I think this is why they need to be kept seperate, and they also get cradlecap if their heads get wet so shouldnt be out in wet weather.

I think they are more trouble than they are worth and will grow mine to a reasonable size and sell them, its seems to much like hard work.  I have plenty more room to make another run for them but I like to free-range and if they are going to be subject to bullying it would mean enclosing them all the time.

What a shame, oh well never mind, back to the drawing board, another reason not to impulse buy I guess :oops:

why sell them!? thell be fine with the other chickens. as long as they go outside, im sure no picking problems would happen. give it a longer wait. try it out see how it goes. itll be fine
