Planting Garlic now?

I planted mine on 12th Dec and on Friday just a week later something (squirrel or cat) had dug up two bulbs. I replanted but can report that in the space of a week they had 1/2 inch roots  

nor mine, but I think this mild spell might help.

Updated... They are now poking through!

Mine arent up either :roll: Like my carrots,they kept me in suspenders for weeks before showing thier shoots.Broad beans are 3in now and onions are looking good.

Onions are brill, Garlic just poking through as said, Broad beans are a NO show :cry:  (Fortunately the one's in the conservatory in the trays, are 3" high.)
