Pulled some of my carrots tonight and noticed there was some white lines round them on a few. looked like more of a fungus type thing that brushed easily off.

Sorry for the terrible discription, anyone know what this is?

If this is it ive have a very mild or early form of it.

Would i be best pick em all and store in hessian sacks now?

Ive got a nice crop of flyaway and dont want to loose them now

I know little about Sclerotina but if it's fungus in origin is storing in hessian bags going to make matters worse if the spores are present on the roots?

Maybe lifting, washing, peeling and blanching before freezing would prevent the fungus developing.

In hessian any dampness could lead to further development...
