My bed is about 6-7 years old and very productive. In previous years I think I’ve stopped harvesting around now, but have read in some places of harvesting up to Mid June. What do others do? It would be nice to have something to harvest until the Hispi cabbage is ready in a couple of weeks.

Watched Monty the other day. He said asparagus can be picked until midsummer day with the years you’ve had them ing ground.

Hello. I pick until the end of the first week in June - especially if there are still fat spears If there are skinny ones from now on I don’t bother with them... but the juicy, tender ones I wouldn’t want to give up just yet!

Picking loads now and expect as I normally do will be picking plenty for another few weeks yet.

I would normally go until the first week in June
