I've just been reading through one of my veg books (lunch time - no-one talks to anyone in the staff room so always handy to take a book...) and I was amazed exactly how many different things could be sowed (sown?) in January/February.

:D The BBC Allotment Gardening web site may help with the last part of your "To do list".  Copy of a message copied below:-

We have 30 horses in East London and very satisfied local allotment keepers but there is tons more and it seems a waste to send it for landfill. if anyone would like some please phone 02085304648

Just wondering, when you say 'under cover' do you mean in greenhouse, coldframe or cloche?  :D

I would consider that a green house/cold window sill for us northerly customers, but as he is cleverly disguised in London, probably gets away with cold frame, etc.
