Mine just have shavings.  They are hardy animals so no need to worry too much  :D

Mine sleep on the roosting bars and are nice and cosy as heat rises.

Mine sleep in the nest box. They wont roost but I don't mind. I put layers of newspaper down and then some shavings, then chopped straw or shredded newspaper and all round the edges I put hay, thickly, so they can snuggle down nice and cosy. Oh I've also lined the nest box and house with cardboard to give a bit of insulation
Spoilt or what!!!
I do leave the pop hole open all night though so they can come out when they want to.
DON'T WORRY the house and run are all secure. It has a mesh lid on it so nothing can get to them and the pop hole is sheltered as the roof slopes well down over it.

The other night it was quite chilly and I did my normal lifting off of the nest box lid  to move the girls onto perches for the night and I was hit with a wave of heat,my girls only have a layer of newspaper then shavings ontop the vent is fully open all year round but still they stay tostie :)
