Chlorosis in Courgettes
« on: May 26, 2019, 19:25 »
All my courgettes that were planted out a couple of weeks ago under fleece, are showing these signs of chlorosis. As it's in the older leaves I'm thinking Manganese/Magnesium rather than iron, so I've fed them with a multi-nutrient liquid feed.
Any other suggestions?

What variety?

If it's one that produces yellow fruit, yellow leaves could well be normal, at least in my experience.

Thanks for that, I spotted one of my yellow courgette plants had a slight yellowing of the leaves today. didn't know that was a thing :)

Not sure if a similar thing is going on with my squash plants here. Most of them are big and healthy looking but a few are yellowy and have not grown much recently. I'm planting them out today with well rotted manure in each hole - is there anything else I should add to help them perk up a bit? Thanks in advance.

Feeding them with something like Maxicrop which contains various trace elements should perk them up.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I would say that if its a yellow courgette then don't worry as mine are very similar. Thanks for the tip on Chlorosis, I had not heard of that before.
