i really cant remember a time i have been more frustrated with the weather than at the moment.

3 weeks ago the plot looked perfect and i was looking forward to my best year. Plenty of things sown and big plans for more but since then everything has been on hold.

The plot will be full of weeds and just been in the garden to sow some things and 5 minutes later down it comes again so rain stops play.  >:(

one day we will breed a "flowering mushroom-bog-cactus"  that will survive anything and look nice too :tongue2:
Sometimes my plants grow despite, not because of, what I do to them.

It's only rain... Not FROST!

Wish I had my runner bean planted out before this "Monsoon" season started.
Rain at night, sunshine all day long!

The soil is still too cold for them and the cold winds would have killed them if they were outside

AND if they get waterlogged, they're a gonna also. One of the plots on our site has been taken out of commission for this reason.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

It's the chilly temperatures going with the rain that is holding up growth on my plot. It's draining nicely for the first time since I have had it (dunno about the plot next to me which is down the slope mind if he has my overflow).

Although not warm enough for anything tender, its not actually cold. Nightime temps here are meant to be around 10 degrees for the next few days. Im hoping that when it is time to plant some beans and squash and corn etc out in a few weeks, this rain will have been replaced by glorious sunshine and the soil will be nice and moist......... ;)
