does anyone use? or can recommend? to help eliminate/keep down odours. even though my 'ladies' are cleaned daily i am very conscious of any aromas that may emit from them.
especially on their grassed area!

i use stalosan F, its a broad spectrum disinfectant, kills all sorts of nasties, soaks up moisture and doesn't smell half bad! Safe to use round the chooks as well (Just don't over do it in the coop - dust and chickens don't mix in enclosed spaces!). Ive read that others use Bio-dri which is also supposed to smell rather good and is safe to use round the chooks.

Don't have any advice but am interested in the answers especially the grass areas.   when my partner bough t me my hen house for my birthday he also got a starter kit which had cleaning fluid, mite spray & powder in for the house etc.

We move our entire house and run set up weekly and they are also allowed time out in the garden when we're home.

What do you experts do about the area they've just been moved from?   How's the best way to clean it up, I've found it's almost impossible to clear the pooh up from the run area.

with the grass, i just rake as much pooh off as i can, and then give it a good water, the raking also Scarifies the earth so then we just sprinkle a little grass seed and top soil on and bob's your uncle, lovely new grass in a couple of weeks or so!
