They'll be fine.

Mine have seen a few frosts over the years and they're still standing!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

It is cold in Sheffield - brother in law was asking if he should have his spuds planted and up by now! I did tell him to expect some more frosts. I am going to leave it a while yet to plant mine.

Changed my plans as well.

Got a few things to pot on, peppers, chillis etc., so I think I'll crack on with them and go to the plot PM.

The frost was half inch deep into the soil this morning. Soft fruits will all be ok tho. A couple of years ago I found some bare-rooted goosberry bushes that I had forgotten about - they had been lying in a corner of the plot for over a year in all weathers but were still alive. I planted them last year and got fruit off them last Autumn. Very hardy  :)
There's more comfrey here than you can shake a stick at!

It's too early for planting this far south of oop north so no panic stations. Rhubarb, strawberries, raspberry canes, winter garlic will all have to stand along with the stuff that has survived the winter.

The herbs are doing just fine on the window sill in the kitchen and nothing else needs to be started till the end of the month for us lot.
