Apple Trees/Broad Beans

I have planted 4 bare rooted, 2 year old, eating apple trees and will prune them 'Espalier'.
In the space in front of the trees I intend to grow my broad beans.   Will the nitrogen levels from the beans cause a problem?       I know the trees will not make great progress this first year.

Before I got my allotment, I planted veg between and in front of the newly planted fruit trees - seemed a waste of space to leave the ground bare, and the trees didn't suffer from it.  I can't do it now they are established (I would get tangled up in the branches  ) but I planted loads of spring bulbs, mainly daffodils, in the bed with the trees and it gives the garden a bit of colour before the trees blossom.
