Teflon is starting off with 8" when it's level, so scooping out the paths onto the beds should give around 12" on the beds which is fine for most things, except prize winning 'snips ofc

You mentioned scooping out soil from the path to go on raised beds, but with your post which I quoted, you give the impression that there will be no increase in soil depth if he makes lazy beds.  ;)
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

I think you are being deliberately obtuse.  It's pretty obvious I said to build the level up in an earlier post and that to me means an increase in height.
