My chickens are drinking more than eating.

My chickens have only been here since Saturday and already I've posted lots of questions.  They seem to be drinking lots and lots of water and hardly eating anything, is this normal?  I've been watching them and they are either drinking it or playing with it, they haven't tipped the pot over.

if you are feeding them a different brand of layers pellets or mash that they were used to or in a different type of feeder (they are just as picky about such things as humans) then they may take a little while to adjust. As CompostQueen said ease up on any treat and they will start to eat properly. Also if you have grass they may be eating this if they came from a place without any
