We've been very lucky this year with the frosts. If we'd had frosts at the same time as we did last year, (end of May), there would be many tales of woe and a lot of despondent members.

Don't get complacent, it'll end in tears!!!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I fear I was late with sowing again... my pumpkin plants are nowhere near showing signs of fruit... do they flower first like everything else?

Yes they do. Big yellow ones.

My patch has Bees everywhere.

I planted my plants out towards the end of May. Sowed under glass in mid April ish.

DD  they stay in the GH until end of May. I do a squash and a pumpkin in big pots for an early and in the case of the pumpkin hopefully huge crop.
The later sowings are just setting fruit whilst the early squash we have been eating for weeks!
Its cold up north i need to help nature along  :)

This weather makes the plants grow like mad, whether they'll make pumpkins like mad remains to be seen  I think we need a bit more warmth sooner rather than later as there's few pollinating insects about if it's wet or windy :(
What happened to the 'barbeque summer' we were supposed to begetting ::)
