cutting back broad beans

cutting back broad beans

Apparently you can cut back broad beans to a few inches above ground & they will regrow.  Has anyone tried it?  Did you get a second crop?

I was thinking of giving it a go since my BB patch resembles a jungle of beans + weeds.

I cut down my beans about 6 weeks ago - chocolate spot - left a couple of inches showing - nothing grown back yet - interested to know if this does work though!!

I cut mine down a month ago and there is about 1 foot new healthy looking growth,will so what happens.
