If I plant potatoes in my allotment beds this year will i be able to replant them again next year, what is the crop rotation rule regarding potatoes

Hi Davie only a new boy myself but you cannot grow pots in the same place next year they call it crop rotation someone will come along and tell you more  Terry

It's good practice to rotate all your crops saves getting a build up of disease or pests in the soil, You can follow spuds with Leeks or over wintering onions same year. You can of course skip it for a year esp on new plots how do you know what was planted there last ?? so try not to get too worried about it for the first year or so, but like I say it's good practice to rotate.
I know there's something about it in the Information section so it would be worth having a look in there.

If you can you should not grow veg in the same bed for 4 years. Make a note of what you have planted where and plan it out each year.
