planted 2tubs of single and double freesia,s over 6wks ago, nothing showing. rummaged in pots today and it looks like bulbs have rotted. should they have gone in the ground or were the bulbs old, were packs bought from garden centre.

I once grew some freesias from bulbs in a barrel and they were ok though they have since disappeared - not hardy things at all. I wonder if they were too wet?

I plants some in a pot and the squirrels kept digging them up. This year one lonely freesia bloomed...in the bed nex to the planter where I had originally put them.
