This is why I love these Forums .We start off moaning about seeds Etc.And suddenly we are talking about fish and chips,and no one normally minds.Every now and then some brave soul trys to bring us back on course but usually fails and then that person joins in the gentle babble that is the A and V G Web Site, I love it,and long may it continue. :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

one chippy here charges £5.20 and thats just for the cod the chips are £1+ on topp.  it is a fair size piece of cod though.

Mushy peas. Ugh. Now that's something that never caught on over here, thankfully. Sorry.
However, pollock is something we have often. And tilapia is finally reasonably priced as well. My favourite is halibut, but it's very pricey so we go for special lunches to the fish shop for that.

i love tilapia . its beut fresh from the rivers . tilapia mozambique  ( species name )  was  the first of the fishes we had abroad in nth of the lakes
 ( shhhhhhhhhhhhh  :wink: )

Over here tilapia is farm grown as many of our rivers are too polluted from upstream factories and abound in leeches because of it. Now lots of farms with artesian springs ponds grow them and I must admit I prefer it that way  :wink:  :lol:

yups ... with  teaspoon of sugar stirred in few mins afore serving ,then add the vinegar to the chips n fish ... :wink: on newspaper of course

IE Coming home in a November London peasuper,A bag of red hot crackling and chips.Wrapped in newspaper.
Loads of salt and vinegar
