If the US growers have the same arsenal of chemicals that commercial growers have in the UK they will still have a good crop (although the spuds probably glow in the dark!)  :wacko:

Can't find it now but I did view a website listing all the chemicals available for blight control; there were about 6 categories of control from "preventative" right through to a rapid top-growth killer when all else failed - rather scary!  :ohmy:
