I've had an idea of using small tupperware boxes with holes cut in the side to controls slugs/snails. Put slug pellets in them, put the lid on (keeps the rain out), then put the box on the ground. Dead slugs can be thrown away next day and has the advantage that pellets dont touch the ground and get wet from rain.
Dont know if it'll work, has anyone done this before?

I think slug pellets work better when they're VERY LIGHTLY sprinkled among the crops(someone I know used to surround each bed with a thick layer) and they also need damp so the slugs can swallow them so I put them out before or during rain every 3/4 days.
I changed from the organic ones to the heavy duty ones in areas the chooks can't go and have noticed an amazing difference. Huge slime trails and dead bodies everywhere!
