Cheers, we do like to cook outdoors and polute the atmosphere
The next stage is a tandoor oven. I also built a chimmney type thing which goes over the coals for my big paella pan. next time I am doing one I will photo it.

For bbqs, charcoal, always! Didn't even know there were gas bbqs  . If I had my way I'd use wood/charcoal for all my cooking - food is way more flavoursome cooked on wood, IMHO...

Well, we had did Gammon steaks, marinated mushrooms, and wait for it, roasted taters on the bbq last night, started them off in the oven and then put them on the grill, scrummy, nearly as good as doing them in goosefat.

i'll vouch for that - the lamb patties were super- and I think you should share with the nation those red peppers stuffed with the tomatoes-- everyone will love you-

Got half dozen biguns, chop stalk off, infused garlic, oregano, sea salt and a little sherry vinegar and lots of Oli oil. Let it come together for half an hour then chuck mushies and liquid into a bag for an hour or so then chuck on grill.

Charcoal for me.
When I was at uni we built a brick BBQ in the garden (nothing like Aidy's tho). We got the bricks from an old church that had been demolished down the road - we just used to grab a couple each on our way home from the pub each night!

well- thats just dandy in the garden at home - but at the plot were not allowed to bbq- silly rule cause were far away from any houses - so we have to use gas. alex is just jealous because Iain bought a campergaz that has a toaster on the bottom- too bad my OH doesn't cook so Alex will still have to do the cooking on the plot.

Happy to cook, as long as I don't have to wash up!
The grill is only big enough for one piece of toast, so its gonna take a while...............
