... sow in pots & plant out later on?

I'm waiting for my plot which shouldn't be too long as they only have to mark them out but I've got seeds that I'd like to get sowing now. This is ok for most but there are some where you sow them directly into the ground and time is running out.

Can I sow in (paper) pots then plant them into their permanant place when my plot is ready?

What do you want to sow?

Depnds what you want to sow as Ice says. Some need starting off now in pots in an ideal world,but a lot will wait for direct sowing, such as peas and beans.  Dont forget that most things will catch up to early sowings anyway once the weather gets good ( )
