« on: July 07, 2016, 20:21 »
hi could anyone give advice if ok to chop up potato tops and spread on plot where they have been dug up and be left to rot down? or do they need to be removed from plot? i have no area to compost them.

If they are healthy plants with no blight you can leave them on the plot where they will dry and disinegrate. If there is any blight put them in a black plastic bag and tie the top tight. They will soon die in the bag and can be spread in a few weeks when they have decomposed. Alternatively put them in the Council green waste. If you are not sure whether they are diseased then bag them anyway.
