Pecked Comb
« on: December 10, 2008, 14:30 »
Hi everyone,

Just some advice really please.

I gave my three chickies their snack this afternoon and when I went back out there was blood everywhere and it looks like in the scramble for the snack one of them has pecked a piece of Honey's (our Amber Lee) comb off. Just one little peak has gone but it looks really sore and I feel a bit awful for her.

So really my question is, is there anything I can put on it to stop it getting infected? Or is it best to just leave it be?

Many thanks!

Jen

Or a bit of wound powder if you have it.  Otherwise leave it be.
