My parsnips are finally through but they are growing upwards out of the soil so the root is exposed. I've never had this before.Are they Australian ? lol What's the best thing to do?I have been covering the root as it appears.

Are you sure moles are not pushing them up with their tunnelling? Failing that just keep pushing them back in a tell 'em to behave.
