I planted a strawberry plant that was given to me the other day, into a tub. Slight problem, I forgot to put drainage holes in the tub.
So today when I checked it, the poor thing was swimming. I emptied the tub and added drainage holes and fresh soil ready to re-plant. I looked around for where I had put the plant, and when I looked down I realized I had put it on the ground and it was now under my foot. DOH!  :shock:  :oops:

I kinda pushed and back into shape and re-planted it anyway.........

............... if it survives it will be a miracle.

I'm so daft sometimes....  :oops:  :?

You can laugh, but it's my ONLY plant so far!

Even the tree was chopped down last week as it was rotten and about to collapse onto my house.

None of my seeds have sprouted yet, so I was kind of fond of my swimming / drowning/ squashed strawberry plant.....

what seeds have you put in this time of year Lotty :?

Broad beans. Also some onion sets and some garlic.

I've also planted some carrots (after the discussion on this forum) - they are protected though.

Strawberry plants are incredibly resiliant so watch for it come spring.

I will. I hoping that this particular one is more resilient than most - it's going to need to be with me looking after it!
