Can anyone help me. I have 2 light Sussex Bantams that are about 5 months old, when I got them they were about 12 weeks old so it was still not guaranteed that they were both hens. However I'm still not sure if I have 2 hens or a cockerel and a hen as they look so different. Gladys is definitely a hen, but Geraldine is a lot larger and she is more muscular and her comb seems to be a lot larger. I'm worried she/he will wake the neighbours up one morning and suprise us all.

Would anyone be able to shed some light on whether I have 2 hens or one of each?

Welcome G&G.  Any chance of a picture please?  Plenty of chook experts on here but I'm not one of them.

No they don't my Sussex were 22 weeks before they crowed

Sorry Happy that sounded so rude, I hope I didn't offend.  I think Sussex are  hardest to sex of any I have bought
