where to buy a sensible priced fruit tree from? ideally in norfolk

i need to replace a pear tree but not sure where to get one from. as i only want one i don't really want to get one sent to me as the postage will be as much as the tree.

does anyone know where sells fruit trees in norfolk at a sensible price?

thanks for the reply, but there was lots of posts on here last year about supermarket fruit tree's.

i don't think the saving's worth the possibility of the label and variety not matching up, or find they've been grafted to the wrong root stock and end up with a full size tree.

Does 'grafting your own' appeal at all? It is surprising how generous people can be with pruning material when you start asking around, although there is a lack of pears where I am. I did just try to find details for Norfolk Orchards but the site is down. Suffolk Orchard may help I can give you an e-mail if you want it. In fact if you can get to Woodbridge, Ipswich next Sat. 13th there is a free grafting course 

The last two years I have got mine from gb-online. The person who started me grafting recommended blackmoor nurseries. I am hoping to grow my own rootstock for future years after reading dmg's diary.

to be honest i only have room for one tree, so not sure if i can be bothered to graft. although i like the idea i only have limited time and am struggling to put the time in to growing what i do with out adding to it.

not really liking the idea of risking it at aldi. it's worth spending more money to know what your getting, and being better tree's you'll prob get the money back from the better tree cropping earlier.

may have to bite the bullet and pay a delivery charge for one tree, or from a garden centre.
