I've put some in the cold greenhouse, but I'm not chancing any outside 'til the soil is a bit warmer and drier. I don't want them to rot off before they germinate.

I sowed some Douce Provence under a cloche yesterday, and some Early Onward in loo rolls in the greenhouse today.
We come from the earth, we return to the earth, and in between we garden.

Mick, you seem to like the early sowings. :)
So, rather than pushing the difficult early season thing, how about over Wintering your peas next year, in a cold greenhouse, or just a small insulated cloche. By the time they outgrow your cloche, it will be sunny.......ish.
Here's my Onward peas today that were sown 28 October in a cold, cold greenhouse and covered with fleece all through the worst of the Winter. They've just started flowering. How that turns out this season, I have no idea, but they're looking good, and usually turn out very fine.
