Move on Monday-so can start gardening on Tuesday

I never ever thought I would miss having a garden so much.  It is surprising how much time you can spend just pottering about.  I spent a couple of house yesterday just sorting out the patio pots here (leaving some, taking some)

Should be just  in time for the cabbage (according to the seed packet sow from March - June
The spinach is August - Feb so that will wait
Pimiento can´t go in until Dec-March
White Turnip (UGH- going to grow that for hubby)  any time

Will have to re-buy all our garden tools, we only have a hand fork now! Left the others behind as we did not need them as we had no garden!

And buy some welly boots for the wetter winter days!  At the moment the ground will be dry dusty soil.  There is well water for watering the garden/orchard so will be interesting to see how that goes.   :D

Since my master plan is to move to Spain - cheap(er) land, climate and wine - I'm really curious about how the climate affects your growing, what you can grow etc.
Do, please, keep us posted and upload a few pictures as you go along.

When we moved to the Isle of Man, the back 'garden' had been terraced and concreted over so we also left a lot of our gardening equipment behind. Frustrating. Val soon had the back full of pots and we grew tomatoes in growbags, runner beans in a huge - 4 foot diameter, 3 foot high - pot as well as salads and carrots.
When we came back had to start re-stocking. Still not back to where we were before we went away after 3 years.
Check out our books - ideal presents

I am sick and tired of this moving lark......... first the signing was this Friday, then changed to Monday and now who knows when............. won´t have to worry about my toms beng moved at this rate, they will be ripened and sundried before the buyers get their proverbial finger out! :x
VERY hot today, having to water patio plants at least twice if not 3 times a day.  Will be interesting to see how much better plants cope in the ground.
Will keep you informed as to what happend plant wise :D

Cheer up - it's always a trauma moving.  Frustration and delays! I'm sure it will be OK for you - my psychic powers say so :)
