House plant advice
« on: December 01, 2010, 11:30 »
I have a space for a plant in my bathroom which is east facing.
Any ideas?
It is a bit shady - because of the neighbour's house and ideally I would like something with flowers.

A Peace Lilly - they prefer shaded locations and the soil should be kept moist.  :)

My bathroom faces east and I have orchids.  They do really well in there and flower beautifully :)

Are you sure?  I only get mine to flower if it is south facing and in lots of sun.

If I had space anywhere south facing I would agree with you but sheltered and east facing?

They only need a little sunshine each day, so east facing is ideal. Were you feeding your's?

Orchids for me too.  Got three of them on my window sill and there is always at least one of them in flower.

Would the lack of sun be a problem?

Also is M&S a good place to buy?
