Nah, you're among friends who understand completely  ;)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Me too. I'm going to Munty this year! I feel like I've just joined AA or something.

Easy to erect and easy to take apart at the end of the season.

Take them down? No one told me. Guess that's part of the joy of using 2x2's - they've be up for about 4 years now, going into season 5 and still going strong  ;)

Lucky Aunty to have chestnut poles. No such things exist here even though we have loads of chestnut trees.

Our Poles are the same colour as most of the indigenous population - nice people but not much help (as far as I know) when it comes to building bean-frames. There are lots of them though!  ;)

I use 2" galvanised steel pipe.... the same stuff my dad used for the last 30 or more years.  ;)

I made mine out of angle iron (and "strung" with galvanised wire so it doubles as a harp in winter!  ::)) so it ain't going anywhere soon, I hope. I did rustproof the bolts though so I reckon I could dismantle it in five minutes if I wanted to.....

My Munty is going up this year and will also be a permanent feature, with the slope we are on and the need for raised beds I couldn't cope with trying to move it

No question one has to Munty!!
My only addition is to dig a new trench periodically and fill it with compost etc to revitalise soil. Lucky for me my daughter's boyfriend was feeling energetic and dug me a trench so big it's taken a couple of months to fill it. I can't wait for it to be warm enough to put out my runners-there is so much food for them in the trench that I think they'll be rocket launched.

If you haven't got one yet I'd get moving asap

Cheers HH

Keep digging

I keep forgetting to mention that I don't move my frame, and that I've grown runners in the same spot for quite a few years. They're not as susceptible to problems as other crops are. As long as you add lots of nutrients before the new season, you're fine.

My (or to be fair, the OHs) attempt at a Munty Frame, just itching to get the beans out but it has gone all cold and windy again so had better wait a while.  The broad beans underneath are doing really well though and just about to start cropping.

I can't do the Munty because of space constraints so use the 8' bamboo inverted "V".
Was the Munty designed to stop the congestion at the top and make the beans easier to pick because they climb over the top and hang down? You've got the shady space underneath free for salad too. Oh, how I long for a Munty!
Ingenious .....

If this lack of rain carries on down here another munty advantage will be giving a cooler shady spot that will be less likely to dry out so fast.
