Monday 25-4-16  ,,,2-24 am  looked at in / out temp 8 c outside so might be alright  here no snow then,,

26-April-16, What a day all morning 8c rising to 18c out / 20c in,, then about 13-30pm temp went down to 8c
then a hail storm covered the ground, then 30 mins later the sun was out,, 22c out / 20c in, its now 16-26pm  and the sun
is still out at least it will warm the ground up ,,,,still a funny old day ,,


Any one else have any thing like we had today,,

I'm blooming lucky!

We had sunshine until about midday when I popped up the plot for an hour we had a two minute light hail shower. Then when I was driving with a client we had about two minutes rain. I did drive a few places where they had obviously had a bit more precipitation. Perhaps I just managed to dodge them or it's just I live in the Beautiful South (now there's a good name for a band!)

mctoon, at least I'm a tiny bit further south than you in the softer Prudhoe area with our view to the northern hills. I'm just glad I'm not 60 yards from the coast just north of Amble anymore!

It's been a bit vigorous again today but at least not as bad as Middlesborough yesterday morning I gather - bus driver on the round village shuttle this morning said a couple of his service bus drivers there couldn't get round some of the estates due to 3 inches of snow. Mind I reckon they might have been winding him up like.

Another right parky one last night.  Frosts all the way to Sunday for me.  Luckily I've got everything snug in the greenhouse or indoors.  It's been a bit of a pain carting my bags of potatoes into the greenhouse though.  I'm earthing up the outside spuds as the first earlies are only just poking through all the others are snug underground still.  All in all I'd say timing was about right.  Nothing is too far grown to be unmanageable for the next three weeks or so.
