Just for fun we are trying to grow the biggest pumpkin on our allotment site, I am told that I should feed Epsom salts , any idea on frequency please?
I already feed comfrey on Sundays and seaweed extract on Wednesdays .
I have limited the plant to three pumpkins
any other tips would be appreciated

Sounds like fun! A plot near us has some massive pumpkins (beachball sized) and it looks to me like he's limited them to just one pumpkin per plant.

For real giants plants are usually limited to one fruit. It's also worth covering a few leaf nodes with soil to encourage extra root growth.

I've got a decent one growing in my polytunnel. The fruit is around 4 weeks old and nearing 25 kg already.
I've limited the plant to one fruit, and buried 4 leaf joints so far to encourage more root growth and I feed it every 5 days or so with tomato feed. I used the breed 'Mammoth' as they should grow to a pretty decent size.
