My speckled hen is losing her feathers! There appears to be new quills coming through but she has big bald patches. Anyone got any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

nothing (I am assuming you have checked for lice and signs of being bullied etc) - this is the normal time of year for birds to moult. Give them time and the new feathers will all come through.
