manure question

i am about to manure my allotment but have been advised by another allotment grower that carrotts and parsnips dont like fresh manure so not to put manure where these are going to be put ,is this correct and is their anything else that doesnt like fresh manure..thanks

Nothing much likes fresh manure, it's too acidic and burns the plants.

It should be well rotted, or applied now for planting in spring - by then it will not do any harm.
Carrots and parsnips don't like to grow where manure was  added in the previous winter, it makes the roots fork.
