Evereste Crabapple Tree
« on: October 10, 2012, 17:50 »
I planted an Evereste crabapple tree this spring.  It had a beautiful show of blossom but the fruits (which is what I want it for really) are minute (slightly larger than a pea).  Will they get bigger in time as the tree develops or is it just an ornamental variety?

Edit to clarify topic.

This indicates small edible fruit, although perhaps only slightly bigger than yours:

To be honest it's been a poor year and it's the tree's first year in situ so will have concentrated on roots.  I'd not worry yet.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
