cabbage water
« on: September 23, 2012, 13:33 »
I have started to pull some of the cabbages from the allotment and where the slugs have had some of the leaves I've gone and shredded them and cooked them up for the chickens. My question is can I use the cabbage water for the chickens as it is full of goodness ?

Thanks Mike.

I'm sure cabbage water wouldn't hurt them but they might not drink it!

I give mine the slug-eaten cabbages straight from the garden - more nutrients than when cooked and they seem to like it more if anything.

you don't need to cook cabbage for chickens - give it to them raw and then they will get all the nutrients
Staffies are softer than you think.

Thanks Guys.
Will do that from now on, they seemed to like the water as they have drunk there normal amount. I only boiled it as they did'nt seem to like it raw.
