Mine never got to flowering, so I've no idea if there will eventually be anything there  ::)

is flowering a good sign that there will be decent tubers?  My main ones flowered several weeks ago and the plants which I propagated from the shoots are just coming to the end of the flowering stage now.

Mine have only just started to produce flower buds... adds another crop to the 'late this year' theme

I don't even start to dig mine until the foliage is completely killed off by frosts, and then only to check there is something down there.

The last two winters mine have stayed edible and somehow even getting bigger until at least January (end of Feb last year)

So too early to worry yet  a while  :)

I'm hoping mine are doing something down there, but will resist furtling a while yet then  ;)

Will be nice to get a crop Jan/Feb when there is not much else available apart from the leeks and winter brassicas  :D

I dug the plants up today and  :D :D and I'm very pleased with the crop.  I'm so glad I had decided to plant them in a sleeper bed filled with compost as it made it much easier to dig them out cleanly.

Had a quick looksee at mine today.  Not much evident in the raised bed but I can see a good few tubers poking above ground from the two I planted in a large container.  :)

Remember that they carry on getting fatter by drawing on the last remaining goodness in the failing foliage, for a few weeks

They keep incredibly well once dug up too. I had a lot just stored in an old empty plastic flower pot under the staging in the unheated minitunnel last year

Such restraint, arugula  :D

Hope you get a good crop -- remember to keep some tubers to plant next year if you like them

I haven't had a rummage yet, but that's mainly because I can't actually get to them at the moment - need to clear the rest of the garden first!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

They will be quite safe down there, don't worry  ;)
