I make a 'health' soup out of chicken, 3 types of beans, chicken broth and chard. I freeze it into single portions and you'd never know the chard was frozen.

Kale can be frozen or pressure canned.

I love chard. I freeze it cooked in 2 portion packs.

Its nice spread over the bottom of a dish,  a bit of poached salmon on top -either in a piece or flaked if you need to make it go further -  topped off with cheese sauce and browned in the oven . :happy:

I also mix it with mash and make sort of bubble and squeak cakes, they freeze well also. :happy:

Great ideas Spana, thanks for those.  :)

I wouldn't take up freezer space as it is amazingly resilient throughout the winter. When my plants get a bit tough and raggedy I give them to the hens, they love them!
