No, it doesn't, but Alan Romans was both cheap and very good. Last year he was selling 96 White Lady seeds for £1.80, and I had 100% germination from mine. T&M charges £3.49 for 30. It's difficult to understand how the price can vary so wildly for exactly the same seeds.

If I remember,  the old site it did used to say that if Alan Roman's didn't stock it go to T&M so there has obviously been a tie up on the quiet for quite some time.

They haven't been taken over/bought out by T&M have they?

That's what I said!  ;) ;)

Sorry grannie, at 6 am I didn't notice your variation of those thoughts. ;) ::) :D

Shokkyy, have you tried getting a phone number and phoning or are you not that bothered? :)

I've tried emailing their sales department and my email didn't bounce back, so I'm hoping I'll get an answer at some point.

I don't like T&M. Their answers to complaints about sub-standard seeds are just complacent.

If AR have now been swallowed up by the competition, has anyone else on here used Kings Seeds?  I have just been given a copy of their catalogue and they give discount to NSALG members.  Their prices seem midway between T&M and AR so I am thinking to give them a go.  They also have some nice looking asparagus plants I am tempted to buy.

I think several people on here use Kings.  Not tried them myself yet, as I tend to use Premierseeds direct on Ebay.

They are very good, very quick delivery.  Most seeds are 99p a packet, and no matter how many packets you buy, postage is only 59p.

The other day I bought some Durham cabbage seeds.  There are 1070 seeds in the packet, but can't guarantee that as I haven't counted them yet!   ;) ;)

We use vegetableseeds.net, really good service, cheap seeds, very high germination rate too, really pleased with them last year.  Got some free seeds too which is always nice!  They do good 'collections' too, their allotment collection is £22 for 25 packets of seeds.  And they do herbs and flowers too, not just veg.

Hi Angela, the allotment site I am on uses Kings so I have had an awful lot of their seeds and have found them to be no better, no worse than any other branded variety, and generally for vegeatables I find them all pretty good. Done through the allotment society there is a pretty good discount. :)

When I search engined(not google) the Romans site I found ``We're off line for the rest of the summer for re-stocking/stock-taking.``Maybe they`ll be up and running in the spring?

when I clicked on that result it took me to T&M, so I'm not sure if that message gives the full facts ;)
