Can't plant out!!
« on: September 08, 2012, 00:01 »
This beautiful weather is brilliant for all the crops but I can't get my psb and winter cabbage plants out because the white fluttery things have had a new lease of life and are frenetically fornicating before it gets cold again. All my debris netted beds are full with maturing cabbages/kale/brussels and summer psb in two and leeks/parsnips in the other.
And yet I'd like to get them out in this warmth to give them a good start before winter.
Will it be alright to drape fleece over temporarily as long as it covers completely? It's been ok on the potted on plants so far although there must have been a egg laying under somehow as there is nibbling damage. I really don't want another debris netted bed......it's a pain to get in and tend!!!!

I'd have thought that would be fine.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
