fallen apples

hi,is it ok for my chickens to eat fallen apples?they get through a couple aday between 4 of em,also is ok for them to eat elderberries?I thought I might pull some off the tree and give em some before the wood pigeons finish em all off.

I'd think the apples will be fine. Having googled elderberries a lot of sites say it's on the list of carcinogenic plants so probably best not to.
