Such a shame... and a waste of toms, I must have thrown 200 of them away because of the blight, I kept the green ones, and will give them the banana treatment, and those that will not go red, green chutney I guess, an an besides... can you soak the sultanas in brandy for a few days before putting them in your green chutney recipe? I quite lucky in some respects though, I planted my toms in 2 different places, and the other lot are fine so far, but it makes you so mad just to think in 2 weeks time I would have had a bumper crop of them as well

All my outdoor toms have succumbed to blight,30 plants of assorted varieties,

I've taken off all the green toms I can salvage and will keep an eye on them.

The greenhouse toms are ok so far (fingers crossed).

I started them off in March ,so that's 5 months work for nothing , but there are loads of us all

in the same position, last year I had no problems at all and had 100's of toms.

Cheers Carl

Similar thing happened to me.  Unfortunately most of the green tomatoes showed signs of blight during the first week of bringing them in.  Everyday I had to through a few more away.  A few green ones went into some piccalilli and another three have now turned red but I fear that will be my lot this year!
