No, you can't, can you.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

oh, but DD, you have no idea how late I sometimes leave things!  I agree late is better than too early  but so late that the whole season is over is ridiculous.

At over 50p per seed I will definitely be sowing my two remaining Passandra F1 all-female cucumber seeds - great germinators and this year and last the plants have taken up so little precious greenhouse space (in fact none at all after a couple of months!   :nowink:)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

be in more control over the weeds.... hopefully. Have more structure to the plot in general. Plant: Sweetcorn, try french beans, try again with lettuces, not sure about potatoes, they got blight so may not bother. Try to get a pumpkin going in time for the competition.

Hum.... next year I plan:

more peas
more carrots
greater variety of tomatoes (but I do love sungold!)
fewer runner beans
more peppers (and greater variety - £1 variety this year and I'm not sure what they actually are!)
Better sucessional planting (salad, spring onion, carrots etc)

New things to try:
beetroot
onions (not just the spring type)

Generally better organisation and better control of the weeks  :D

Greater success... who knows but I'm looking forward to trying...

I'd love a victoria plum tree and some raspberries - need to decide whether it's worth the investment?!?

Grow more of the same as i've done this year and a few different.

toms (more variety's)
peppers
chilli's (one with less heat)
cucumber
spring onion & normal
beetroot (had the first ones which i pickled tasted great)
Peas (more of)
Runner beans (bigger and another wigwam)
french beans dwarf (to try other variety's)
swede (waiting for the results)
broccoli (waiting for the results)
sprouts (waiting for the results)
strawberry
rhubarb
assorts of fruit tree (get them in the ground didn't manage it this year they stayed in pots)
spuds (not sure if it worth the space, might try them in spud planters)

The main thing i will be doing is keeping better record of planting harvesting etc, started well then got a bit slack with.

enjoy my time up the allotment and reap the rewards. 8) 8)
Dear God, Please can you stop the wind and rain and bring on the nice weather. Amen

...not plant my runner beans so early that I have to plant them out when there is still a serious risk of frost  :nowink:

...not leave my husband alone to sow the tomato seeds -  he sowed the whole packet and we had 40 plants  ::)

Not sow quite so many of things (lettuces, spring onions, pak choi) all all at once.

... start the lettuce seeds earlier
... do Early Burpless again, best cukes I've ever grown and dead easy (and cheap seeds)
... do Parthenon courgettes again
... do more peas but smaller plants
... give up on Fataalii chillis
... do smaller, faster-growing caulis and cabbages and carrots
... do kale and chard early and late but not in the summer, too busy stuffing peas & beans
... try Lady Christl and Kestrel spuds instead of whatever's on sale loose
... not put swedes in the tunnel - they love it and turn into triffids
... put butterfly netting over brassicas in the tunnel

Next year I will try hard to worry less and enjoy more....... with less procrastinating and grab each chance as it comes along.

...cover peas with protection so they get a chance to grow higher than an inch, build some cold frames over winter to help growing more from seed and acquire a greenhouse so I can grow extra toms, peppers and start a grape vine  :nowink:

1. Only grow things that we like to eat
2. Order ONCE and once only from the seed catalogue, and not keep buying more and more seeds from B&Q, supermarket etc because I'm getting impatient to do something on the plot and its too early to start anything off (see 1 above)
3. Net the brassicas from the very beginning
4. Keep on top of the weeds
5. Find a bed for the strawberries - the green polythene planter bags I have them in at the moment dry out FAR too quickly
6. Persevere with the tomatoes, despite this year's dismal crop.  Try to cast my mind back to last year's bounty and remember it.
7. Not bother with sweetcorn, peas, beetroot, cauliflower (see 1 above).
8. More climbing french beans, runner beans, courgettes, calabrese, leeks, onions, potatoes, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, peppers, chillis, garlic, broad beans (see 1 above)

No matter how many plants I have in my garden, I can always find room for one more.

Try my hardest to get on top of the weeds. I have a large patch that I can't seem to kill fast enough before they take over again.  >:(

... 9.  Sow lettuce little and often.  Had one big glut then it all went to seed at once and I had nothing to follow it up.
10. Don't sow runner and french climbing beans so early. They were fighting their way out of the greenhouse by late March.
11. Pre-chit my parsnip seed again. Worked beautifully.
