Garlic - when ?

september to november as a guide, i will be planting mine in late september/ early october  

Mine were January planted & I've got another good crop.

If it is autumn planting garlic, it can be planted in November. garlic need's a cold period so it need's to be established before the frost comes. Try dibbing a hole and filling with sharp sand then place the clove in this. I did that this season and despite all the rain have had the best harvest ever.

Not a case of forgetting, more one of I have the things and being an impatient whatsit I want to put them in. 

Either that or I cook with them. 

Mine will go in around the end of Oct - have set aside about 20 of the largest bulbs from this year's harvest, ready to be split and then planted

planted mine out in october which produced a great crop which will last me through the year

May I ask how many sets you plant to see you though the year?
