had our chickens for a week now and they seem to be doing very well but noticed today that 2 of them jumped onto the coop and starting scraping their  beaks to and fro on the wood didnt do it for long then jumped off and started foraging again, am I right in assuming this is normal ie cleaning themselves? wasnt sure so no harm in asking

Considering they don't have hands, they do well don't they?  like mine with the string and the nut and bolt!

isn't it clever of them to go up onto the coop to do it though! mine just wipe their beaks on the grass or on a stone i put in for them
